Help for deciding on a new reel or a new rod

I just started fishing seriously 1 year ago …I figured it would be a good idea to get opinions from some other anglers in here. I want to get a new bait caster but not sure what to get… what I have now is…

Abu Garcia Max pro (old gen)7.1+ Falcon EVO MED-HVY 7Ft

Shimano Nexwave Spinning reel combo 6’11

And the rod I need a reel on is a Falcon Cara T7 7ft MED-HVY

I’m also in the process of getting a Shimano SLX DC on a Fenwick HMG Med-Hvy 7ft

Sorry for the long message
