Successful rerouting from KUL to LHR

Sharing my experience since one of my family members managed to get her ticket (she bought her ticket separately) rerouted to another airline to fly directly back to London. Original flight was from KUL to DOH, DOH to LHR.

I rescheduled her flight to be on March 8th but then got a late evening email on 5th March saying her flight schedule has changed. Checked the details and it was now a confirmed flight operated by Malaysian Airlines MH 7004, a direct flight from KUL to London Heathrow.

I checked with my travel agent who gave the green light. I then received an email and phone call from Qatar Airways later in the day asking if I wanted to confirm the new flight.

As for myself (and my mum), no update yet...I assume solo travellers who booked alone are easier to process?
