Stalling in FM24

I'm in the year 2042 and seem to just be stalling a bit in my Bonnyrigg Rose save. SPL champions 4 years on the bounce, but can't get any further than UCL RO16 and this season didn't even get out of the group stage!

I know of the usual tips like hoarde wonder kids etc but has anyone else got any lesser known tricks that may boost reputation or help in UCL ties against superclubs?

Also, I can't seem to get an out and out striker scoring for fun. Always getting double figures but I swear they miss more than they score. I feel like as by far the best team in the league I should have a striker scoring 25+ each year.

My main objective is winning the UCL and then I want to transition into build a nation so any tips on that would be greatly appreciated too!

TLDR: Need some tips to take my Scottish champions to the UCL glory.
