Stop saying that, I'm right here.

Awhile back I mentioned how I'm tried of us freaks being treated like a disease. It one thing to here all the negativity on the internet, but to hear it come from my own bestie is another. She's not really has much of a freak as I am. However from what I hear and based on assumptions, it's possible she's just into some vanilla based stuff or hell, maybe there's 1 or 2 kinking things she's into. She's could also possibly be Demisexual. She's doesn't have to tell me, that's her privacy, and I have no need to get into it. However the negative thing about her is that she'll just randomly bring up how there's "creeps" and then actually creeps in the franchises we like. Now I can understand the discomfort she might feel when coming across any art or people who talk about certain characters in a sexual way and that's fine, I'm not gonna shoot her down for that, what I don't like is that she just brings it up randomly whenever a certain character or franchise is mentioned in our conversations. What makes me uncomfortable is how one-minded it all sounds. People are allowed to find certain characters attractive and some characters are literally sexy and owning it Who are you to say "Leave them alone!" Or refer to us as THOSE fans. Now other times it's valid because sometimes they're referring to an underage character, but like I don't wanna hear about that. I don't wanna hear about the people who bring a bad name to us freaks. I'm not saying that it's not weird, I'm saying that I'm not thinking about those people and if I come across art like that, I just ignore it and move on. The NSFW world is literally the wild west, sometimes you see shit you don't wanna see but you just don't get involved with that and move on. And I get that some spaces are shown suggestive art in places you don't wanna see suggestive art but like if it bothers you, don't interact with it. You can't stop people from what they're doing so the best you can do is just worry about you. At the end of the day, I still love my bestie dispite some of her flaws. It's what makes us human. But whenever she's shaming us freaks or actually creeps, I just stay silent until I change the conversation or until she does. Because the last thing I'd want is to get into a debate with her or for her to know I'm so-called "One of THOSE people"....but God, sometimes I wish I could say "These are fictional characters with no real impact on the world. You've known me for 11 years and you've treated me with respect. Am I one of these so-called creeps?"
