Have rates improved for all cohorts (Jumbo, Refi, in SE) or just targeted subsets?

I have a 1.4M loan on a 1.75M house bought in June 2024. It is 30 year fixed at 6.3%.

I soft tested the market with a few lenders I am friendly with, but the lowest they said to expect was 6.1% which is not worth it imo.

Is it realistic for me to try to hunt for

something closer to 5.8 or is that only for people with specific loan criteria / buying points.
