I despise all of the vitrol to Neets and unemployed people in the United States
I am in college, but I fucking despise all of the vitriol and genuine hatred in America because of hyper-individualism.
My girlfriend is a NEET because she's trying to get mentally better and get off opioids, and she can't legally drive or use the bathroom in Kansas because the government genuinely wants to eventually put her in a camp for her identity. But people treat her like she's some unemployed incel that deserves pure, unadulterated constant vitriol because she doesn't happen to have a job right now.
And it's not just her, but others. Are there unemployed people who are gross, lazy, and deserve the hate? Absolutely. But when it comes to mental illness, addiction, disability, etc., people are like, "You're a lazy piece of shit, you're scum, go work". People have told her to gently kill herself because she can't work right now, because Kansas is building a registry of people like her, and she can't get an ID because of who she is.
People are just genuinely disgusting and horrible pieces of shit because someone doesn't immediately start condemning themselves to wage slavery even if they physically or psychologically can't, and then the system punishes them with prison or mental institutions so they're scared into working again. I don't think people should waste their lives, but all of this is just hyper-individualistic propaganda by American society that anyone who isn't slaving for a corporation is genetically subhuman. I don't know.
