Github refused to load on Safaricom data. Has anyone else experienced this?
So I was in town today, away from my laptop. Then my non-technical friend texts me about a bug when someone clicks a link on the homepage of that website I am busy promoting in my profile here.
Nothing unsettles me like knowing my users are having to bear with a bug that I am aware of. Total lack of peace. It drives me crazy. So I try to fix the bug with my phone by editing the code on the main branch since I already have a coolify auto-deployment pipeline. Talk about GitHub refusing to load. I was so fucking frustrated by 20 minutes of doing nothing, and I knew exactly what the problem was.
A shop nearby allowed me to use their wifi, and GitHub immediately loaded. That proved my theory coz I had tried testing a random sites via saf data, and it did load. I fixed the issue, but I am still puzzled.
Who the fuck blocks GitHub out of their network?
Ata acha kwanza niongeze the mighty Sentry and fuck that green minion for many reasons.
