Should I wait to take Zoloft until after I get back from vacation?

I just got prescribed 25mg sertraline yesterday for anxiety/depression/mild OCD and took my first dose last night. I leave for a family vacation tomorrow and my doctor told me it would be fine to start it before then because it’s a lower dose. She said she normally starts people on 50 mg and they often don’t report side effects other than sometimes some GI issues.

Well after only one dose, I am feeling kind of “out of body,” along with some brain fog and fatigue. It’s making me way more anxious about taking it during vacation and I really don’t want to ruin it for myself or my family, as it’s our first vacation with our daughter.

Is it going to be a bad thing if I just don’t take it again until after the vacation even though I took that first dose? I’ve literally never been prescribed anything like this and I don’t want to completely psyche myself out of taking it by googling everything because there’s a reason I was prescribed it and I really want to give it a chance.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
