Starter help

I started my starter 9 days ago after day 3 it started to smell like what the inside of a loaf of sourdough smells like and it was bubbling getting airy and doubling but I continued to feed and discard because I’ve seen ppl say that it’s not truly ready u til after 7 days…well today it smells like acetone. Is it ruined? I decided to feed it more than usual and have fed it twice today haven’t checked it since the last feed but I can see it grew already it’s been less than 2 hours. Can I still bake with it a nice loaf?
