The Bride reinvents a classic monster with a punk rock energy

The Bride is going to be a polarizing movie, but there's a lot about it I liked, especially Jessie Buckley's performance. She's fierce, chaotic, sexual, and funny, too. Christian Bale's role as the Monster is pretty good as well. This movie has a punk rock energy and Bonnie and Clyde vibe to it. My main gripe, though, is that it clashes tones and styles at times and there's a lot of ideas crammed into the two-hour runtime.
