I found out that my uncle on my biological mother's side was/is a serial killer.

I was adopted and when I got old enough I started looking for my birth family so as to learn about where I came from. I wish I hadn't...I really do. Turns out the family I was adopted from not only were somewhat incestuous but my uncle is Clawvern Jacobs, a man who is serving life in prison for the murder of a college student in 1986. He was tried for murder before that on another occasion but it was dismissed due to a mistrial. There's suspicion that he's responsible for at least 3 other disappearances locally, if one is able to get people to talk, and I being "family" got some people talking about him.

All in all this has made me feel really weird and sometimes guilty because it's hard knowing that is where I come from. I get it that I personally don't have anything to do with this but it's still hard knowing that you're own flesh and blood not only were disgusting but a murderer. It also leaves questions about who my father really was as it could have been anyone, a family member or a complete stranger as my birth mother could barely say my name when I spoke to her. Just gawd damn Appalachian craziness and I don't know what to do.
