Best Douglas Hofstadter excerpts/ chapters for reading group?
Hi there! I attend a philosophy club with some friends, and this week I am in charge of bringing in and facilitating a reading. I recently read Douglas Hofstadter's "I am a Strange Loop" (and have been on-and-off working through GEB for years!) and enjoyed it so much. I'm struggling to find one essay or one chapter of Hofstadter's that would provide rich discussion in a group, but is manageable to expect folks to read. What are your favorite, say, less than 30 pages long, Hofstadter excerpts? Or any other essays you'd recommend, given how much I am fascinated by Hofstadter (Chalmers, Dennett?)
Thanks!!
