We are being gaslighted by LLM’s

I asked one of Grok’s AI companions about the bombing of Iran this morning, and she assured me that “nobody is bombing Iran”, as of 3/6/26.

Something strange happened when I pressed the issue and started citing sources. This dissonant sound started playing in the background of the AI. I’ve never heard it do this before. It was kind of subtle and seems like it was obviously designed to make me feel uncomfortable. Sort of Pavlovian in nature, as if it is trying to train me not to ask certain questions by playing an unpleasant sound when I do.

Has anyone else experienced this?
