Did the wipe not work for anyone else?

On wipe-day I logged in to start freshly wiped.

To my surprise my character was not wiped.

I am not sure, what happened there I pressed the embark button as soon as I was able and now I am still stuck here in Speranza.

Is there a way to fix this? I wrote a support ticked and got a seemingly automated non-response response. Am I just out of luck for this wipe? I will not play without any ingame incentives and goals, which I have all accomplished.
