6 large dogs in the house, all eat the same meals they have for 3 years, 4 are now nibbling at their paws after moving.
Howdy all, appreciate any insight you can offer. I’ve got two labs, two shepherds and two Pyr mixes; the Pyrs and the Shepherds have started licking and nibbling at their paws in the 6 months since I bought a house with a big back yard. They all eat the same combo of homemade food (blueberry/spinach/rice/turkey meat) and kibble (Kirkland grain-free Beef & Sweet Potato), and none of them exhibited any allergy behaviors before the move. They’re all around the same age (3-4 years) and there is virtually no variation in what they eat.
Am I crazy to think there’s an environmental factor here or is this still most likely something in the kibble? These are all hearty dogs with little/no history of health problems. I can start them on powdered probiotics if that would help crowd out whatever bad stuff is causing them issues, but I don’t know if there’s any diagnostics or hematologist testing that can help narrow down a cause.
All advice welcome, many thanks in advance.
