Why do my grandparents give a shit about my love life?

Ever since I was about 16 (now 20)my grandparents (specifically my grandma on my dad’s side) has been asking about if I have a girl friend or anything like that and I’m fucking sick of it.

Like I kind of get it since my younger cousin (18F at the time, now 19) is dating nowadays but why the fuck are you assuming that I am too. Especially when I haven’t seen you in months, let alone talked about my dating history.

Like in 2024 at a family event she just randomly came up to me after I said nothing about dating for years and asked if I had a relationship ongoing at the time about 30 minutes after I learned my cousin is dating period. So why are you up my ass now? Let alone to begin with?
