... I leave the confines of the station platform and I can see the decay. The station had been hit hard, cut off from the material world during the Avatar Storm, brought about by the Week of Nightmares back in 99. The storm itself has subsided and calmed in recent years, but every time i venture into the Umbra, even the surface layer of the Penumbra, i can see the damage, the scars. A metaphysical hurricane that tore through the confines of reality and even now we still do not know the full scope of the damage done.

I find a view port, seeing the vast wasteland beyond and the once great majesty of Victoria station. The Sons of Ether once called this place home, a place they could share their scientific wonders with like-minded souls. Where the confines of the Consensus need not restrain their inventiveness. Now, i look out and see only ruin, decay, and a promise of an age long since gone. An asteroid orbiting the Moon with the Earth in the distance. Yet these thoughts do not distract me for long.

I wished to see what has become of this station and I will see this report on my Pater's desk. Maybe I will get lucky; as I write this down, i can feel the presence of Umbral entities. Perhaps I can find someone who will be able to shed some light on what has happened to Victoria Station since the time of the Avatar Storm...
