Do I need additional travel insurance for Schengen visa if my program already provided CISI insurance?

Hi everyone,

I’m applying for an Italian Schengen visa soon and my visa appointment is on 11 March.

The fellowship program I’m attending in Italy has already provided CISI (Cultural Insurance Services International) travel insurance, and I received the insurance certificate by email.

However, on the VFS website I saw a list of approved Indian insurance companies, and CISI isn’t on that list.

My question is:

Is the CISI insurance certificate sufficient for the Schengen visa, or should I purchase an additional travel insurance policy from one of the Indian companies listed by VFS?

Would appreciate any advice from people who have applied recently.
