Thoughts on offer to move to diff dept?

Recently got offered to move to a diff dept as a Jr investment analyst role at a build to sell/rent property company after working in my current department for 2 months. I’m completely new to this industry & field. I know next to nothing as far as finance and home building…

Would love to hear your experiences if you’ve been in a similar position or have had similar experience. I also don’t entirely know what investment analysts do so would love some insight as well to assess whether the role is a good fit

I’d be starting out with dispositions and I believe underwriting.

Another hesitation is that it’ll be considered a flat transfer w/ change in pay, but from what I’ve heard about that dept, it would be more demanding higher level work
