Last week I posted that OMNIs watches were a scam. I was wrong. They were having comms issues with international customers. These issues were stemming delays at postal carrier points that OMNIs wasn't aware were occuring. They have rectified these issues and they have delivered what I hoped for in early January: An absolutely well priced watch with top notch guilloche bezel that look sophisticated, clean, and very attractive.

Their Comms/operations manager, Francoise, reached out to me and maintained daily contact with me as we tried to figure out the issue. In this instance it would seem that La Poste tried multiple times to get Fed Ex to accept OMNI package, but ultimately they would not. Francoise attempted again going from Le Poste to USPC and was successful with no issues whatsoever.

Note: As a consumer it's easy to forget that microbrand watch makers are not huge companies. We may not realize that microbrand companies can be run by 1,2, or 3 really hard working, exhausted people, who don't have time to deal with one more customer service complain
It's hard because when I buy a watch from oversees and the shipping watch company seems oblivious to multiple delays, or is advising customers to do the same thing like keep check fed ex( I've heard this from three micro brands) when Fed Ex is clearly saying the package never left the original point. I'm sorry but it that point it triggers red flags. And sadly, there are shady operators out there.
I would ask that the people running micronrand watch companies to advise purchasing clients what the next few weeks are potentially going to be like in regards to shipping/customs. This includes potential setbacks with customs and includes potential setbacks with air carriers tariff fees or anything that can go wrong. The consumer is worried their money has been hijacked by a third party- we simply do not know. This would be in the watch company's best interest to brace the client for it and build a team alliance. What most micro brand companies seem to be doing is telling their customers to do the same thing to the 15th time that hasn't works, to chill out and piss off, and this is not doing much for the industry/ and or brand image.

Additionally, If you are peppering the micro brand watch company that you just bought a watch from with endless stupid questions and concerns about "Should the watch hands be a different color?"
"Is this a rebranded Ali watch?."
"I want to return this watch because I heard was 50% the week after I bought it"
"Why did you guys charge so much for a NH35?"

Or just bajillions of things that I see people get uptight about-please keep in mind this is someone who's trying to run a business and doesn't have time to address your underlying obsessive insecurity. Unless you're ready to send the watch back why don't you save your questions for r/microbrandwatches?
