Huge rise in Hawk activity and population

I’m in New England, I have noticed since the start of March a huge increase in hawk sightings in my area and not just one resident but several upwards of 3-4 in a day and about 10 sightings in a week

Any insight or news about Hawk activity? Are they usually super active early Spring or is this unusual?
