Elijah is ALWAYS touching shit

I'm on my TVD rewatch in Season 2 and it just cracks me up how much Elijah fiddles with everything during a scene. When he's going on a historical tour with Jenna, he's randomly messing with a long piece of straw. When he's in Elena's bedroom and negotiating a deal, he starts rummaging around on her dresser and rudely flipping open her little notebook. When he's in the Salvatore house, he's running his hands all over the furniture, probably trying to find dust or something. Later in TO, he's always messing with his tie and suit jacket.

I just find this so funny. For someone so dignified and ancient, he gets all nosy and fidgety and has to start screwing with things if the conversation gets too long. Now, this could very well be a Daniel thing, but I'm choosing to believe it's a deliberate Elijah trait because I love it.

P.S. Elijah also has interesting chemistry and tension with Damon. That's all I'll say.
