Hannibal inspired my psychology thesis — survey on criminal heroization
Hi fellow fanniabals :)
I was 12 when I watched Hannibal and I decided then and there that I wanted to go into psychology. I was so fascinated by the whole show, and i wanted to be like him (minus the killing and eating people part, I prefer chikcken and fish, I know, I know...). Fast forward 10 years and I'm writing my BA thesis on criminal heroization, basically how criminals are portrayed in a positive light by the media.
I'm sharing my survey here because I'm looking for more participants, but also because I feel like this is where my whole journey began. I don't know if this is allowed, I did try to text the mods but I got no reply. If it gets removed, so be it, but I wanted to share it with this community besides the simple survey subreddits, because this show and the fandom has meant so much to me over the years.
The survey is made up of 3 fictional stories where you'll be asked to rate criminals. Truth be told I wanted to add more violent crimes, but my prof discouraged it.
Here's the link for everyone who want to participate (it takes about 15 minutes).
If you'd like to share your thoughts and opinions, I'd really appreciate reading them. Also, I'm curious, did anyone else go into psychology, psychiatry or crimiology because of the show?
