Going to GSW was not the biggest Durant mistake

In fact, it was leaving Brooklyn.

Besides the badass looking black uniform (fitting KD nickname and vibe), there he would be the greatest idol of Nets franchise; got a not-so-bad core with Claxton, Finney-Smith, O'Neale, Thomas and Dinwiddie; would be on the Westbrook spot of 2016, getting left behind by his stars teammates. Refusing to leave even with major proposals of many great teams would add a ton of respect to Durant's legacy, one of the most (if not the most) troublesome of the top 15-20 GOATs. And, in a few years and adjustements, Nets could be contending again.

But, Durant throwed away this timeline of events just to desesperaly go to a dubious Suns team (putting his hopes on Ayton and old CP3? Seriously?), that became clearly weaker after a obviously dumb trade for Beal. Now, he is at Houston, and even if VanVleet and Adams, Rockets are not better, in the West, than a healthy Nuggets, Spurs and Thunder.
