Dynamic pricing

Did not know what this was until 2 weeks ago. Saw tickets for the beauty and beast musical at my local theater and asked my girlfriend and sister if they’d like to go? Tickets where really good and $180 a piece which seemed like a fair price. I put the tickets in my cart and then my sister messaged me and asked me to wait so she could check with her girlfriend if the date worked. It took a few hours since she was at work and it released them from my cart. That night I get the text that we are good to go, and I go back to buy the tickets. No new tickets for that night had been sold, all the same ones still available. The only difference was I’d put them in my cart earlier and then let them go back to available. The price was now $230…. Same section every other night is still $180…. It’s been 2 weeks and the price is still sitting at $230 because of dynamic pricing.
