Never Give Up — PGWP Success Story

Hello everyone,

About 6 months ago, I posted here in panic because I forgot to submit my English exam (IELTS) with my PGWP application.

The responses were mixed. Some people were incredibly kind and helpful — I’m truly grateful for them. Others questioned why people like me are allowed here. Reading that during one of the lowest moments of my life was painful.

But I didn’t give up.

Today, I’m overjoyed to share that my PGWP has been approved for 3 years! 🎉

My Timeline:

  • Jan 30, 2025 — Completion letter
  • Feb 17, 2025 — IELTS given
  • Mar 8, 2025 — Applied for PGWP
  • Oct 7, 2025 — Refusal (No IELTS)
  • Oct 14, 2025 — Submitted restoration + reconsideration + reapplication (after 180-day window had passed)
  • Jan 17, 2026 — Status updated to submitted
  • Feb 17, 2026 — Received message that restoration was reopened
  • Feb 18, 2026 — PGWP APPROVED 🎉

If you’re going through a refusal or made a mistake, don’t let negative comments define your future. A setback isn’t always the end.

People will always say things online, but what matters is believing in yourself, staying honest, and trusting in God. If your intentions are genuine and you keep trying, things can work out.

To those who supported me — Thank you. And to anyone struggling right now: stay strong. There are always people who will support you and want to see you succeed.

Never give up. 🤍
