Does the Ubiquiti integration with Home Assistant work to tell when nobody is home?

I just discovered that Home Assistant has a Unifi integration that can supposedly tell you how many people are home at any given time which is probably most useful for know when there is nobody home so you can trigger automations based on that. I think it works by seeing when certain devices are not connected to your home network.

Has anyone used this? How well does it work for you?
