Everyone assumes gas stations make a ton of money on gas, but the reality is pretty different. Fuel usually only makes up 20-40% of their profits. Most of the cash actually comes from convenience store sales - think snacks, drinks, and everything else people grab while they’re filling up.

That’s where companies like NXXT get interesting. They’re not drilling oil - they’re running the logistics and infrastructure side of the fuel business. When prices spike, retail traffic doesn’t disappear; it just shifts. Fleet contracts, delivery companies, and even EV charging networks keep demand high, creating steady, predictable revenue for the companies handling the flow of fuel.

Some quick numbers from NXXT show why volume matters: November 2025 revenue hit $7.5M, December $8M, with fleet deliveries totaling 2.53M gallons and YTD revenue at $73.5M. It’s a good reminder that in energy logistics, it’s not just about price per gallon - it’s about moving gallons efficiently. And right now, NXXT is scaling up faster than most small caps in the sector.

For anyone looking at energy plays, the takeaway is simple: look behind the pump, and the logistics layer is where the real opportunity is.
