Queens residence

I'm going to con-ed at Queens next year and applying to residence. I just was wonder if I should apply to LLC the con-ed dorm or not? I wanna be social and meet lots of people but also be close to the people in my program too. Basically wonder what would benefit me the most and others opinions are that have been in the same place I have.
