KoD just finished and now I'm at a stall...PLZ HELP
So I just started reading again back in August. I ripped through EoS, HD and DiW. Howling Dark was my absolute favorite but continued into KoD because of all the hype. I need to start off by saying I'm a audio+physical book person and the Syriani's from the audio literally made me stop cold bore. I just couldn't get past this was suppose to be the baddest MFer in all the galaxies and he sound like such a chump. But that's neither here nor there. I think read Licanius, WoTM, Bound and Broken. Found myself in limbo trying to figure out what was next and decided to finish KoD. Was it good? For sure, but not quite like the enjoyment I got from read some of the others. So I'm kind of stuck thinking that I may just not be getting CR's writing style. Its not like KoD was too heavy and dreadful but I didn't FEEL like the pain and dred like everyone told me I should. The death of Pal and Gibson were for sure heavy. But someone also mentioned the amount of time and idk if that make any sense but the whole timeframe thing just kinda makes me lose any chance of really buying into it.
Does AoM, DQ and SUT get any better or am I just not cutout for this series? And I don't say that like aww poor pitiful me. I just know that this is pretty damn complex and I may just need to go read DCC and Red Rising with my hollow ass brain TIA
