What would you say is the scarier game? RE7 or RE9?

I haven't played 7, 8, or 9 yet, but now that they're all in great form on the Switch 2, I'm looking to add a great horror game to my collection on the system. From what I've seen online, the general consensus is that 7 is scarier than Village (though I did see a few claim that 8 at it's scariest peak is higher than 7 at its own) and that if I were to choose between the 2 for the overall scarier experience, that 7 is the way to go; so I'm pretty sold on 7 over 8.

But without any spoilers, how are we feeling about 9 vs 7? I know it's probably a little too early to be asking that, new game bias will be hitting hard for many, but if you can try and answer honestly; Requiem looks damn scary from the trailers, would you say you think it's overall scarier, less scary, or about on par with the scares when compared with 7?
