Why don't people connect the dinner-table conversations about their challenges with the $1B a day the US is spending in Iran?
I've tried now a few times to have a discussion with both left and right leaning folks how lots of the issues we face (i.e. high cost of education/health-care/homes etc) can be addressed if the government spent $1B a day on THEM instead of on Iran.
But I get absolutely no traction. It's weird. Why?
