Benefits of doing a Minor

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone has completed a minor and what are the benefits of doing a minor. I can’t decide if it’s worth it or not.

For context, I want to complete a child and youth services minor because I know I want to work with children in my career choice. I just don’t know if it’s worth the extra money and if employers will care about it

Any advice or personal experience will help:)

Edit: I want to pursue grad school so my gpa will have to be competitive, I don’t want my minor bringing my gpa down but if completing a minor is worth it then I will do it
