2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee Uconnect Issue

Generally speaking, my Uconnect and Android Auto work as expected, but I have noticed one annoying issue, for which I have not discovered any cure, as yet. I'll explain, as follows:

I have set up two profiles, one for myself and one for my wife. (I don't have "connect two phones" option activated). Now, let's say, for example, that my wife was last using the car with her profile and phone connected. Then, next time, I'm driving, and I activate my profile. My wife is in the car with her phone in the passenger seat. Well, instead of connecting my phone, as shown in my profile, it's loading my profile and setting, but still connecting her phone, as the active phone. This forces me to go to Devices in Uconnect and manually change the connected phone over to my own.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Does anyone have any ideas about how this might be remedied?
