Plat 2 Tracer, what am I missing?

Tracer is by far my most played hero, and i heard a good Tracer can become server admin but I feel like im missing something. I feel like im doing a good job, but I still lose. When I play Tracer, I go in with this thought process: Im going to distract, im going to clean up low hp targets, and win duels. That's what basically every guide says to do but I feel like im at the whims of my team.

Im trying to carry but how? Im doing everything a tracer is supposed to do. Maybe I could work on aiming is the only thing that springs to mind. If I had better mechanics in some situations I could've gotten a couple more picks is legitimately the only thing I can see making a difference. But I have the good positioning, I have the timing, and id say my mechanics aren't the worse. What an i missing?
