1.In the past, when monarchies were prevalent, being forced to give up your land or being banished and essentially, "Desh Nikala" was an exceedingly harsh punishment.
It meant severing your roots, abandoning your identity, and living at the mercy of a foreign kingdom.

2.Historically, foreign lands and settlements (seen from the 12th house) were primarily the domain of traders in the search of businesses especially for spices.
Over time, as migration for jobs and education became common, and especially when Settlement is a possibility, the "shame" of being an immigrant evolved into a celebration, provided the destination offered a better quality of life compared to the native place. It is now a dream for many and sometimes can become a deal breaker in arranged marriage scenarios!

3. Even though many stay to build their homeland, the trend leans toward foreign settlement. (Though whether it is an affordable option or not is a different thing 🙂🙃). Then again Fate and especially "Saturn" is important for Western Countries.

4.This shift relates to the strength of the Sun and the 4th house in a birth chart. The Sun represents confidence, inner pride, vitality, and the "King" (modern government).

Actively choosing to be ruled by a foreign government (another Sun🌞) suggests that the Sun and the 4th lord are not strong enough to bind the native to their roots. Especially when they are seeking permanent settlement elsewhere. Meanwhile this also means Rahu and Saturn Exceedingly overpower the luminaries, hence the search of foreign.

5. This is often seen in the truly elite: while they may seek education abroad, they ultimately return home to pursue business and politics. The Father(Sun) is often Very strong. Hence, the "Government" at the native country is favorable to them.

This post actually got me thinking from an Astrology POV. (Hint- It's related with the Sun)
