Large newsletter looking to run ads via Google AdX / GAM 360 - looking for guidance

We operate a fairly large email newsletter with 1M+ subs and are exploring the possibility of monetizing it through Google Ad Manager / AdX 360. We're trying to understand the best path to getting email inventory set up properly within the Google ecosystem.
