Laptop Too Slow, Fix Ideas?

my laptop from 3 years ago run like trash now. i open chrome with 10 tabs, fan scream loud, youtube buffer all time even 720p. some game like valorant lag 30-40 fps low set. specs: i5-1135g7, 8gb ram, 256gb ssd almost full with game and pic.

i try clean temp file, uninstall old prog, defrag no. fan clean with air can, little better but still bad. friend say add ram or new ssd. budget max 100 usd. can i put 16gb kit? or bigger ssd 1tb cheap?
