I cant understand how 'hereditary' is considered a scary movie.

Everytime I see someone recommend a horror movie, almost everyone says 'hereditary' and how 'scary' it is when honestly it was okay. disturbing, sure, but it is a very overrated movie tbh. It wasnt bad but also I don't see how almost every single person keeps on praising it like it's the only horror movie in existence.
