Needing to rehome two Pyrenees in the Midwest, any advice?

Advice/Help

I really hope this is okay to post here! I live in the US Midwest.

My partner and I moved into a home with a roommate a few years ago. Said roommate rescued a pair of Pyrenees from a dangerous situation, and I was more than happy living here with them. Situation is that roommate took a job several states away, said he would come back when the contract ended, but things changed so he’s not coming home nor is he capable of owning these two anymore apparently.

Our landlord wants to sell our house and we can’t afford a home at this time, so we’re moving to an apartment and have no choice but to rehome these two. My heart is torn because we’ve fallen in love with them, too, and I’ve never had to rehome a pet in my entire life. I’ve never done this process and it feels like so much to tackle since they’re freaking Pyrenees and this has all happened so quickly.

I’ve reached out to almost anyone I could think of and trust, but nothing yet. The Great Pyrenees rescue of Nebraska (our state) said they have no room and offered zero help. I feel lost and am having anxiety horribly, our roommates dad said he’d take them to the humane society so we don’t have to, but that doesn’t help me feel better.

I was going to reach out to the Great Pyrenees Iowa Rescue, but read questionable reviews of it. If you folks have any leads or can suggest rescues that you think/know have space, please let me know. Or if you know a person who’s open to taking them in. I feel so selfish for being lost in my emotions, but like I said, it all happened kind of fast and we have to move by the end of March. Thank you so much in advance.
