Do you ask your boyfriend for money, and does he give it to you?

I was on a TikTok Live earlier, and I was honestly shocked by how many women said they never ask their boyfriends for money.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really understand the double standard. A lot of men feel offended if a woman asks them for money, yet they don’t hesitate to ask for sex, time, emotional support, or other kinds of labor in a relationship.

If a relationship involves giving and supporting each other, why is asking for financial help suddenly considered wrong?

In the past, I’ve asked my boyfriends for money and they gave it to me without making it a big deal. So now I’m genuinely curious—do people really think it’s wrong to ask your boyfriend for money?
