Thank you Bungie!!!

:M2026:Marathon (2026) Feedback

I want to openly thank Bungie for letting everyone test Marathon for a whole weekend for free right before release.

After playing for about 12-14 hours I could clearly see that the game just is not for me. If I had bought it normally, the 2-hour Steam refund window probably would not have been enough to realize that.

This kind of approach - a proper demo or free test period - used to be very common back in the shareware days (30-day trials, etc.). I would really love to see more studios doing this again. If developers truly trust their game, letting players properly try it before buying is a great way to prove it.

Anyway, the game is in a good state and I expect it to have it's audience and will evolve and even get over its oddities quickly (i.e. the menu structure, lack of variety in the maps etc).

Have fun guys!!!
