Asthma help

My cat was diagnosed with asthma last year and she's consistently had more and more fits this winter. I think it might be from the dry air but I don't know any at home methods to help relive her along with her inhaler.

For humans I know a steam shower helps but I don't want to trigger an attack by stressing her out putting her in the bathroom with the water running.

We have a nebulizer(granted it's my brothers) but it only relives her for about a day or two.

I have to give her, her inhaler numerous times a day but when she's not about to have an attack she still acts normal.

I feel horrible that money is tight so I'm hesitant to take her back to the vet but I feel even worse when she's coughing
