We recently hosted our first live guided tasting as part of the Maestros del Agave subscription (built in partnership with Agave Matchmaker, one of the most comprehensive databases for discovering agave spirits out there), and honestly, the response exceeded our expectations.

The attendance was incredible, the questions were sharp, and the conversations were exactly the kind of deep-dive we were hoping for. This community knows its agave.

This month's focus was fermentation: the stage where agave becomes a spirit. We tasted through two expressions side by side:

* Volcán De Mi Tierra Blanco — bright, earthy, with a rich oily mouthfeel and that signature cooked agave complexity
* Alto Canto Blanco — single estate Tequila Valley, fuller-bodied, mineral-driven, with mint and lime cutting through the earth

Subscribers also received cooked agave syrup in their box (same plant, zero fermentation) which made for a genuinely eye-opening comparison.

If you've been curious about the subscription, this is what it looks like in practice: curated bottles, expert context, and a live tasting community that actually shows up and geeks out together. You can check out the last guides tasting at this YouTube link, but we’d love you to follow along next time!
