Chew toys vs food toys

Hey guys, so have a 13-14 week old German Shepard mutt (no idea what mixed with), he’s awesome and training is going well. When we have him out of his crate hanging out with us he doesn’t seem to want to chew on his toys at all (we have hard, soft, fluffy, etc). We can get him to settle in chewing on food stuff (think Kong with Greek yogurt or banana, ice cubes, frozen carrots).

Is there anyway to get him to enjoy his toys more?

I’m not super worried about the calories in the food stuff because he’s gonna be massive but I would rather have him interested in the chew toys.
