Taking 150x2 both at same time, or can I space them out?

My dose is 300mg daily. Lately I have been taking both 150mg pills at the same time. When I was on it a few years ago, I recall spacing them out (like one at noon, one before bed), but I was just wondering what others were doing, or if anyone has any insight regarding 300 split between two doses, or just doing both 150s at the same time. Just curious. My doc did say either way is fine.
