Leave or Stay?

Advice Needed: Replies from Nannies Preferred

In January, I got a part-time nanny job caring for a 4-month-old baby. The Schedule was Monday-Thursday 10:30am-3:30pm which was fine with me because it was just going to be a temporary job until i move out of state.

However, I absolutely love them! The mom is sweet and caring, she asked me what snacks I like and restocks them every week with some additional snacks. She brings the snacks and the baby’s bottle up to me so that I don't have to come downstairs. She also never asks me to do anything outside of caring for her child, not even washing bottles and her clothes.

She always lets me leave on time every day, and we have such fun conversations during and after work about her adorable little one. The dad is usually at work when I'm there but he's really polite! I originally didn't have any benefits or GHs but that was because it was her first time having a nanny so when I explained it to her she was so sweet about it and even gave me pto, sick pay, GH etc. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this family.

Short Version:

I really love my unicorn family, but I only make $1600 a month which is not sustainable to live off of in South Florida so i asked the mom if she would be a reference for me and she didn't even hesitate to say yes! She felt bad about not being able to work more hours and pay, but said it would hopefully become a full-time position in the future and that she'd love to have me until her daughter goes to pre-school! She wrote me a review on care.com and will be my reference so that i can find another part-time nanny job.

However, with the schedule with my current job schedule (Monday-Thursday at 10:30am-3:30pm), it's hard to find a job that could align with it so I've unfortunately been thinking about finding a full-time job which she has told she would love to have been for as long as I'd like and that i don't have to be committed but I'd really like to stay with her family because it's so rare nowadays to find such a good and non-toxic family to work for.

I would love some advice and/or tips from anyone who has gone through this with their unicorn families!
