1000 Years Ago Around a thousand years before our era, the world lived through its golden age, but it also bore a single curse. Its name was Yerakham. Yerakham was the scourge of that epoch, shunned by everyone: vampires, shamans, the cursed, and even giants. He was a man who had become a living blight, slaughtering everything in his path. But during one such massacre, the unexpected happened. An old man carrying a small iron box stepped out to face Yerakham. A brief dialogue unfolded between them: "Have you decided to offer yourself as my next meal?" Yerakham asked. Behind him lay a mountain of corpses, and a river of blood flowed from beneath his feet, stretching past the old man’s boots. "Khg, khg," the old man simply coughed in response. "Don't answer if you don't want to. I’ll just destroy you and be done with it." But as Yerakham met the old man's gaze, goosebumps ran down his spine. For the first time in ages, he felt something resembling fear. The old man took a step forward, opened the box, and uttered the words: "In the quiet rustle of the grass, you have become the chosen one of fate!" In an instant, Yerakham realized what the ritual was. YERAKHAM WAS SEALED! Chapter 1 A warm spring dawn. People greeted the sun with smiles, students headed to school, and adults to work. In one of the classrooms sat Mita Yuadja. He was a tenth-grader, but possessed the strength of a professional athlete. He had medium-length hair and bright blue eyes. Bored, the boy sat in class, thinking about his plans to meet friends at the school later that night. Evening arrived. Mita made his way to the school. Climbing over the fence, he spotted two strange men. They had long black hair and were dressed in long black cloaks. Squinting, Mita saw them digging up the school’s flowerbed. This infuriated him—he and his friends had been forced to dig and plant that very garden, and now these strangers were destroying their hard work. "Hey, you! What are you doing?" Mita shouted. The men startled. One of them spun around and threw a punch at Mita’s face. Mita barely managed to dodge and launched a counterattack, but as his fist approached the man’s face, it passed right through him. With a simple kick, the man sent Yuadja crashing to the ground. Mita wasn't just surprised; he was in a state of shock he couldn't explain. Seeing Mita falling, the man kicked him hard in the stomach. Mita landed painfully on his back, coughing up blood. Satisfied, the men turned back to their digging. Fifteen minutes later, they unearthed a sword with a massive blade and an iron guard. Just as they were about to leave, a strange man in a black suit with long white-and-blue hair appeared. The thieves froze in terror. They tried to run, but in the blink of an eye, the man was standing right in front of them. "Boys, this isn't yours," he said calmly. "I think you should give that sword to me." One of the men lost his temper and tried to strike, but his arm twisted unnaturally just inches away from the white-haired man. Mita watched, stunned. The man's arm was bent backward, but when he pulled it away, it was completely unharmed. With a mysterious force, the white-haired man blasted the thieves twenty meters away. Finally, he noticed Mita and walked over. "Boy, did you see what just happened?" he asked. "Yes... you somehow pushed them. Can I... can I touch you?" Mita stammered. The man laughed and nodded. "I am Raya Gavaru. And you?" "I'm Mita Yuadja." "Mita, I’m offering to make you my apprentice. Do you agree?" Raya’s voice was serious and confident. "Uh... I don't know. What exactly do you do?" "I teach people like you how to use what Mother Nature gave them. To put it simply: I teach you how to use magic." "I’ve never had anything like that before. But if I can become as strong as you, then I’m in!"
