Switch pairing airpod pro 3 with non-apple devices

I have been using a pair of ANC edifier earbuds for a couple years. It's not bad but I hate the slow pairing and whenever I need to pair the buds to a new phone or device, I have to reset them, which basically "removes" the old device from the buds. When I want to pair them back with my main phone, again, another reset. It is really annoying.

I was blown away by the new apple airpod pro 3. But there is still the concern above.

How easy it is for airpod pro 3 to pair with multiple devices? I know the earbuds can connect to 2 devices simultaneously but what if I need to pair them with a 3rd device or more, i.e. do I need to reset the airpod? If the devices I pair the airpod with are non-apple devices, does this play a role?
