Title: The Wilson’s at Burger Landing

On the cool rainy morning of March 9, 2026, the Wilson family pulled their SUV onto the quiet shoulder of Ness’ Corner Road in Port Hadlock-Irondale, Washington. Their road trip through the Olympic Peninsula had been filled with scenic forests, ferry rides, and small towns, but today they stopped somewhere a little different an old place called Burger Landing at 783 Ness’ Corner Rd.

The burger spot with a airplane cockpit sticking out of it had been permanently closed for some time. Its faded sign still hung above the empty building, the paint worn by years of coastal wind and rain. Weeds grew along the edges of the cracked parking lot, and the windows reflected the pale gray sky.

Mr. Allen Wilson stepped out first, stretching after the long drive. His wife Tammi and two kids Ron and Kelly followed, curious about the forgotten burger stand their father had spotted on the map earlier. The children wandered near the building, imagining what it must have been like years ago when travelers lined up for fries and milkshakes.

Mrs. Wilson took a few photos, saying the place had a kind of quiet charm. Though the grill had gone cold long ago, the stop still became part of their adventure.

Before leaving, the family shared snacks from their cooler, laughing together in the empty lot, turning a closed restaurant into a small but memorable moment of their journey. End..
